Jitona, a.s.
With an annual turnover of more than CZK 1,5 billion, Jitona, a.s. is the biggest furniture producer in the Czech Republic. 95% of the production is exported to highly developed western markets.
History of Jitona, a.s. dates back to 1951, when small furniture producers from South Bohemia were merged into a state company called „Jihočeské továrny nábytku" (South Bohemian Factories of Furniture).
After the 2006 merger with its subsidiary company Tusculum, Jitona employs more than 900workers in 3 production plants.

Expandia has been a majority shareholder of Jitona since 1997. During this period, the enterprise has been significantly restructured. Jitona has managed to reduce the production range, to concentrate the production to a smaller number of production plants and therefore to achieve a significant imporovement of the production efficiency. A significant change has also been made in the management system and a modern managing information system has been implemented.
