Šťastný JIM (Starpress CZ, a.s.)

StarPRESS CZ, a.s. was founded in 2001 by Expandia, the writer Halina Pawlovská and other investors in order to create and issue the magazine Šťastný Jim and other magazines. Immediately after launched, the weekly magazine Šťastný Jim started to rang among the best sellers in its category with more than 150 000 copies sold in a week. It was declared to be a magazine of the year 2003. In the following years, StarPress CZ, a.s. started to publish two other magazines - Halina and ATM.

In 2005, the company's stockholders accepted the offer of a strategic partner - the German publishing group Europress - and sold off the weekly magazine Šťastný Jim. Expandia then sold off its interest in StarPress, too.
